buddyTerms of Service
1. Accepting these terms
These Terms are an agreement between you and DreamIT ("Buddy", "we", "us") for use of the Buddy app and website (the "Service"). By creating an account or using Buddy you agree to these Terms and our Privacy Policy. If you don't agree, don't use Buddy.
2. Who can use Buddy
- You must be at least 13 years old, or the minimum age required in your country if higher.
- If you are under the age of legal majority where you live, you confirm a parent or guardian has reviewed and agreed to these Terms.
- You may not use Buddy if you have been previously banned or are prohibited from doing so by law.
3. Your account
You sign in with Google. Keep your account secure and don't share it. You're responsible for activity on your account. Usernames must not impersonate others or infringe anyone's rights. We may reclaim usernames that are inactive or violate these Terms.
4. Your content
- You own the content you post. You give us a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free, transferable and sub-licensable licence to host, store, reproduce, adapt (for example, transcode or resize), display, distribute and promote your content in connection with operating and improving the Service. This licence ends when you delete the content or your account, except where it has been shared by others or we must keep it for legal reasons.
- You confirm you have all the rights needed to post your content, including from people who appear in it.
- Public content may be viewed, shared, and reacted to by others and may appear in recommendations and share links.
5. Community guidelines
You must not post or do anything that:
- Sexualises, endangers or exploits children in any way — this is zero tolerance (see Child Safety Standards).
- Contains nudity or sexual content, or solicits sexual content.
- Bullies, harasses, threatens, doxxes or shames anyone.
- Promotes violence, terrorism, hate or discrimination based on protected characteristics.
- Promotes self-harm, suicide or eating disorders, or dangerous challenges.
- Sells or promotes illegal goods, drugs, weapons, or regulated goods.
- Is spam, scams, fraud, fake engagement or impersonation.
- Infringes copyright, trademark or other rights, or shares someone's private information without consent.
- Contains malware, or tries to hack, scrape, overload or reverse-engineer Buddy.
6. Music & sounds
Music in Buddy's library is licensed for use inside Buddy only. Don't download and reuse library tracks outside the Service. If you upload your own audio, you must own it or have permission.
Vibe Points ⚡ are earned in the app only. They have no cash value, cannot be bought, sold, transferred or exchanged for money, and we may adjust or remove points earned through fraud or rule-breaking.
7. Reporting & enforcement
Anyone can report a reel, comment, message or profile in two taps. We review reports and may remove content, limit features, suspend or permanently ban accounts, and report illegal activity to authorities. If you think we made a mistake, email contact@dreamithq.com to appeal.
Copyright owners can send takedown notices to contact@dreamithq.com with: the work, the content's link, contact details and a good-faith statement. Repeat infringers will lose their accounts.
8. Our rights
Buddy's name, logo, design, software and features belong to us and our licensors. We grant you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable licence to use the app for its intended purpose. We may change, add or remove features at any time.
9. Ending your account
You can delete your account anytime in Profile → Settings → Account → Delete account, or by emailing us. We may suspend or terminate accounts that break these Terms or create risk or legal exposure for us or others.
10. Disclaimers
Buddy is provided "as is" and "as available". We don't promise the Service will be uninterrupted or error-free, and we're not responsible for content posted by users or for interactions between users. Use caution when meeting anyone you know only online.
11. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, DreamIT will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages, or loss of data, profits or goodwill, arising from your use of Buddy. Our total liability for any claim is limited to USD 100. Nothing in these Terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law, and you keep all rights you have as a consumer under mandatory local law.
12. Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of Bangladesh, without regard to conflict-of-law rules, except where mandatory consumer laws of your country apply. Disputes will be resolved in the competent courts of Dhaka, Bangladesh, unless your local law gives you the right to bring claims in your home courts.
13. Changes
We may update these Terms. We'll notify you in the app before significant changes take effect. Continuing to use Buddy after that means you accept the updated Terms.
